Pincushion with doll
I present a simple pincushion, it can serve for a gift.
Materials and tools that we need are:
- Several scrap
- Kapok stuffing
- Strand and thermal pen
- Needle, thimble and scissors
- Sewing machine (optional)
- Wool and needle felting
Tracing the pincushion pattern on the fabric
All the pattern pieces are cutting and marked on the fabric. Remember to use scissors that you have reserved for cutting fabric.
Sew all parts
|All pieces of fabric are sewn alternately. You can make them by hand with “point back” or machine and stitch. One side is left unsewn to fill.|
Stuffing for cushions
|When the parties have sewn the shape of the pad, fill it with kapok by openness that we have left leaving consistent.|
With a strand embroidery thread and a long needle we mark all seams always passing through the center point. Tighten to form flower is made.
Place a bias in the low of the skirt pattern as instructed. We spent a thread through to a shirred waistband. Then add the chest. You can see all the details in the video tutorial.
Mounting the doll body
We are all parts of the body of the doll. The head had a thread to mark the eyes.
Pinned sleeves dress
Before putting the doll dress, sew sleeves with arm positions to make it easier.
Sew hair by hair all over the head, in three rows so that no bulge too. We look good with a needle felting.
