Girl with umbrella – Patchwork T-Shirt
In this tutorial we show to make an applique or decoration for a T-shirt with the art of patchwork.
Today’s topic is a girl with an umbrella which I thought was very nice.
Materials and tools
The materials needed are:
- Scraps of fabric of different patterns and colors
- Flizelin or Bondaweb, double-sided adhesive that sticks to fabric with the heat of the iron.
- Acrylic Painting textile or textile markers
- Thread
- Paper
Tools:
- Iron
- Cloth Scissors
- Brushes
- Pencil

Traced pattern
Traded the pattern on the Flizelin or Bondaweb, the parts marked with dashed lines go under the other.
Ironing Parts
Separate parts of the pattern according to the canvas which we will pasting. Ironed each part on its fabric.
Trimming Parts
All pieces are cut with a fabric scissors or one that you always use for this. If you cut paper or other material its cut edge is damaged.
Provisional mounting
We mark the space of a sheet with four pins to get an idea of how it will be placed the drawing on the T-shirt. All dashed lines parts should be under.
Painted
With fabric paint we are painting the hair from light to dark.
The points of light are given at the end, after they have given all the tweaks.
Give feston point
Stitch around all the pieces that we have stuck. Black wire is best marked, they have more depth.
Final ironing
All parts painted and glued scraps are thoroughly ironed
